the goal

On August 8th, I set out to highlight the value of face-to-face conversation. One step at a time, for over 3,200 miles and 200 days.

While my walk across America has been completed, this is just the beginning for the Let's Talk Project. A documentary and a book about the journey will be released in 2018.

I encourage each of you to find your own journey to connect with those around you.

THE ROUTE

I began my walk across America outside of Washington DC in August of 2016, and made my way through Nashville for the fall. For the winter months, I walked south through Dallas and Phoenix. I finished in March of 2017 in Los Angeles.

Face TO FACE

"Social media puts this wall between people. It acts as a middle man that takes out conversation."

- Mile 638

During my journey, I collected portraits of people I met along the way and asked them what face to face communication means in their lives.
